Career Research Project Summary

I used the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics to research Human Resource Management. For my project, I decided to research four questions about the actions, duties, positions, and requirements of a human resource manager. Here is a summary of the document on the right:

Management roles in human resources include planning, organizing, and leading an organization’s administrative functions. Some of the job duties include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, planning, conflict resolution, and employee relations.

Three examples of management positions in HR include the labor relations director, payroll manager, and recruiting manager. First, the labor relations director manages employment policies in union/nonunion settings. Second, the payroll manager supervises the payroll department, ensuring a timely distribution. Finally, the recruiting manager is responsible for hiring and recruiting for an organization. In addition to these three, there are so many other positions in human resource management other than the ones I chose to research.

One can become a human resource manager through obtaining a bachelor's degree, years of work experience, and leadership skills.
