FCCLA Presentations
The following three slideshows represent how I have demonstrated the qualities of leadership and advocacy by helping our FCCLA chapter expand their opportunities through teaching them about the Power of One National Program Award, STAR Events, and officer positions within our chapter.
Power of One Application Slides
For my FCCLA STAR Project for 2022-2023, I wanted to increase participation in FCCLA events. I thought I could achieve this by helping members fill out an application for a National Program award called "Power of One," and this is the slideshow I presented to walk them through the application process.
This relates to Human Resource Management by providing an opportunity for training and development. As an officer of our FCCLA chapter, I used my knowledge of National Programs to teach members how to become more involved and earn recognition at the State level through Power of One.
STAR Event Guide Presentation
I created a slideshow presentation about the different competitive STAR events that FCCLA members can compete in. I presented at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year, when I was the Officer of Competitive Events. I intended to break down each STAR event into a simple description so that members could grasp the general idea of each event category.
This presentation relates to Human Resource Management by expressing the theme of recruitment. My focus was to educate members on the variety of STAR events and hopefully recruit them to join the competitive side of FCCLA.
Officer Application Presentation
In April of 2023, I created a slideshow to educate current FCCLA members about the variety of officer positions in FCCLA. These officer positions were for the 2023-2024 school year, and I was hoping that we could have more than four officers for the next school year. Through my effort of breaking down the officer positions and making them seem less intimidating, we have been able to expand our officer team to seven members!
This presentation is related to a career in Human Resource Management by educating others on the career development and advancement positions offered within a club at my school.
