Thanking FCS Educators during National FCCLA Week

One component of our FCCLA Week celebration was to thank our school's Family Consumer Sciences teachers. FCCLA week took place on Feburary 13-17, 2023, and we planned this even to take place on the 17th. Our chapter members got together to create posters to surprise the teachers on their classroom doors, and also left cinnamon rolls in their teacher planning center. This was my favorite community service project, as the members of our FCCLA chapter had fun organizing this celebration and our FCS teachers appreciated the gifts!

Thank You Notes National Honor Society Term 1

For our National Honor Society group service project of the term, we chose to write "thank you" cards to the entire staff. The cards were delivered at the end of Term 1, and everyone was required to choose five staff members to write cards for. I chose to write to the admin of Southwest because I appreciate all of their hard work towards keeping our school safe!

To wrap up the first semester of the 2023-2024 school year, our National Honor Society chapter decided to write "thank you" cards to the entire LSW faculty as a group service project. We split into groups that were led by an NHS officer, and we divided the faculty list between nine groups. I was a member of the group that wrote cards for the Business and Family Consumer Sciences teachers.

Relationship to Human Resource Management

Employee appreciation efforts are vital to support retention, productivitiy, and engagement within an organization. Letting employees know how much their efforts are recognized and valued is a great way to improve company culture. This can be done with a gesture as simple as writing a thank-you card!
